Ramirez was ultimately charged with 14 counts of murder, 5 of attempted murder, 2 of kidnapping, 7 of rape, 19 of burglary, 6 of robbery, and 15 charges of sexual assault.

Forensic psychiatrist, Park Dietz, spent many hours interviewing Dahmer. He feels that Dahmer somehow began to associate sexual arousal with the mutilation of animals, and thoughts of harming and controlling people.
My best guess of how that happened is that he was of the age at which all boys are having sexual arousal in response to diverse stimuli. Boys of that age get stimulated while they’re riding to school on the bus, or on a roller coaster, and in the course of that, they can - without trying to, without knowing it - become conditioned to quite coincidental stimuli. And I think that’s what happened to Dahmer. That somehow, he became conditioned accidentally to thoughts of violence and control and mutilation.
